Naturalist basin "morat and blue lakes"

An overnighter into the beautiful and fire restricted Naturalist Basin, one way distance about 5.5 miles to the Morat Lakes. Naturalist Basin is in the High Uintas, Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Lots of people come here and pressure is heavy in the summer. This trip taken 12-13 July 2003.

At mile 5 into Naturalist Basin the trail branches, Northeast to Jordan Lake (shown) or Northwest to Morat / Blue Lake (chosen).

A view of the gorgeous Blue Lake and Mt Agassiz from the South. Brookies were pretty active here but didn't seem to be very big, maybe later in the year they will be fun.
